eye twitch

So for the past 4-5 days my right eye has been twitching. About every 10 minutes or so my eye will rock out and then be done.

I had a roommate who used to do the same thing. She would walk around the house and suddenly do a shimmy and keep walking.

Funny stuff.

Eye twitching not so funny...

I HAVE THE EXACT SAME THING! Totally stress related...mine started up again right before my trip cause I was super stressed about travelling alone with the baby...it was pretty active for the entire month I was gone but now only happens when I am in the midst of some stress or if I'm tired. I recommend a deep tissue massage and chick flick.

Mmm...deep tissue massage. I've never had a massage, I think I would benefit from them greatly. I think it would certainly help with the headaches.

I read that eye twitch is rarely associated with a neurological disorder and is usually caused by fatigue, too much caffeine, or stress. I say, pick your choice!

I don't know why you would even consider too much caffeine being a problem.

Come to think of it, stress and fatigue would not apply to you either.

So I was reading in a book last night, after I had just read your post about your eye twitch, and the guy writing the book was talking about when he first took the job of pastor at a now very successful church, and how he was doing the same things now that they are growing that they were doing when they were declining, but how things were so bad and stressful during those first years that, “one of the small reminders that even when I felt that I was doing okay I was damaged goods was the twitch in my right eye.”

So I started thinking about you and the twitch in your eye… and then he said,

“I often wondered whether I would make it through and find the health that I had known before this season in my life, yet the memories of what we went through only add to the incredible joy and fulfillment we experience today… the fact that we stayed during the worst of times only reinforces that I’m not about to leave during the best of times…”

Anyways, it made me think about you and that maybe your eye twitch is God saying that things may be stressful right now, but He has His hand in it all, and one day you are going to look back at this season of your life with joy and fulfillment… and your eye twitch will make it even more meaningful…

So whenever you get an eye twitch, relax your eyes in the comfort that God is using YOU to better His world, even though it isn't always an easy and comfortable task...
