Saturday??
Well, it's been a long week.
But I DO have a cute story at the end of it all.
While we were getting ready the other day, G was telling which words start with which letters. So I was asking her different words and then I asked her what "mommy" starts with.
She said, "number 1."
Cute.
Well I have been busy as heck. Still having fun, and still very much appreciating moms and dads who do this day in day out. I find myself calling moms and either venting or asking their advice a lot. They are really the people who understand.
I wonder sometimes why God would make kids they way He did. Why do you have to think so differently when you talk to them or reason with them? Why don't they just understand what you mean or think about other peoples feelings the way you want them to? Why do they have to learn all of that and why are we the people to teach them? What makes us so capable?
I was watching t.v. a while ago (during a naptime) and came across Montel Williams who had Judge Judy on as a guest. Judge Judy was talking about parenting and what she was saying really made sense to me. She started talking about all these things in life that in order to do you need to have a license - drive a car, get married, serve alcohol, hunt, etc. But with the job of raising the future of the world (i.e. kids) anyone can do it, and she sees case after case of people who are not doing a very good job.
"It's all a rich tapestry" as Des would say.

true that.
I have a constant pit in my stomach, wondering if I am screwing up the human being I am responsible for. It's alot of pressure...I don't know how some people do it without believing in Jesus.

It is a pretty crazy responsibility... I contantly think that what I am doing at a certain moment in time is somehow affecting who Emerson will become... what music I listen to, what I watch on TV, IF the TV should even be on, what food I bring in the house, what books she reads, what books I read, where we go for walks... the list goes on... I am molding and shaping who SHE is becomming... CRAZY.
