Waffle House

We went to Waffle House last night.

I had a lovely waffle.

Here's what I like about Waffle House:

Our server's name was Lenny.
He has been a Waffle House employee for 36 years.
He was even married in a Waffle House!
He cooked our food himself.
Lenny called me beautiful and it wasn't a come on.
Lenny has been married for over 50 years.
Lenny gets frustrated when the waitress Juanita takes a long time to get people's order.
Juanita is a smoker.
Juanita is very helpful with customers who come through the doors looking for directions.
Even though Juanita and Lenny disagree on which way to direct the customer, Juanita is cordial towards Lenny.
Some of the customers who came in knew Lenny by name and asked him how his wife is feeling.
Another customer said to both Lenny and Juanita while pointing to her dinner mate, "You've heard me talk about Laura, well this is her."

My company consisted of two lovely men and we debated politics, life, and what it means to be in the body of Christ.
