Ashley
I was thinking about a girl named Ashley (cutest little Southern accent ever!) who I met in Waynesville on Wednesday in the lunchroom. She has just moved here and didn't really want to move. She explained how she had to come because that's what the judge said and she can't go back home until the judge says it's okay. She misses her mom and dad.
It's so hard to be a kid sometimes. It breaks my heart when I'm sitting there eating a peanut butter and jam sandwich across the table from a kid who's pouring their heart out to me and the other kids at the table.
Who'd ever thought the lunchroom would be a safe place to lay your burdens?

That is a beautiful picture...you sitting at the table with your sandwich, cut diagonally, being an open ear for a child who desperatly needs it. You're awesome.
