Quote stealer

Here are some quotes I stole from the Tea with McNair Blog link on the left of here. Have a look at his latest blog - crazy inspiring.

- Don't hurry. This is not a race.

~ Finish what you start.

~ Never analyze while you are creating. (They are opposite activities of the brain.)

~ Do what you love. (And learn to love what you do.) I don’t love everything I do, but I can connect everything I must do (that I don’t love) to how it serves and enables me to do all the stuff I love.

There should be a banner in outer space that is so big the entire world can read it, and on the banner will be those words:

    "Never analyze while you create!"

Have I mentioned how much I respect Mr. McNair?

I know eh? What a great thing to remember. I catch myself doing that SO much while in the creative process. I start having an idea and then start working out everything that needs to change or happen to make it work. I just need to dream and then figure the rest out later.

I left a comment on his blog and he's sending me a book. Nice guy.

It's also a great way to get people to spread the news about a blog.

Maybe I'll start giving books away.

Also, about analyzing while you work--it's not easy to change that in a person, because the analytical person is made that way for a reason. Maybe the real message is in not having analytical people join in the creation process, but bring them in when they are most valuable, which is after the ideas are all decided on.

    Grace and peace,
    Johnny

Umm...I prefer NOT to think of myself as analytical...partly because it has the word "anal" in it
