rearing together

Without having children of my own and spending the better part of every day with 3 kids belonging to someone else, I have determined many things and this is one of them:

In a perfect world, I would have children the same time as my best friends who live close to me. I would be a stay at home mom, and have many play dates - like every day dates with my friends kids. That way, my children are socialized and my sanity and adult conversation is upheld.

I think about Kathy a lot when I am at work and I think how fun and enjoyable it would be if we could hang out during the day. Going to the park, having picnics, and riding bikes in the back yard are all activities I am privileged to call my job, but sometimes it gets lonely and sometimes because I crave company I don't enjoy these things the way I could.

Hmm...maybe some day things will be perfect.

I guess that means you and Des need to get busy having a baby... then we can both stay at home together! :)

How's it going with the new baby?

I was just picturing you pregnant... you'd be such a cute pregnant woman!

Dude, you have no idea how many times I wish the same exact thing.
I laugh with Caden, we play and sing and dance, but even when I'm laughing hysterically I'm wishing there was a friend taking it all in with me...it's so hard to find people you are compatible with...it's even harder to find people you are compatible with who are in the same situation as you...and it's near impossible to have that person geographically close...but when those three elements come together, you have something very precious.
I miss you. In my perfect world, we're at the park right now.
    Sigh...
